12/2020   Pywgrib2_s.py


This version of pywgrib2_s.py is currently in the alpha-beta stage of software of testing.

1) Changes to the API can be expected.  (Alpha characteristic)
2) External users can test/use the software.  (Beta characteristic)
3) Supported environments: GNU compilers on Linux or MacOS.  
         AOCC (AMD LLVM changes for future inclusion into clang/flang tree)
4) Will try not to break current code with upgrades but it can happen (Alpha characteristic)

Needs current version of the beta wgrib2 v3.0.1 for
  1) nvc/nvfortran support
  2) reading and writing grib sections

Pywgrib2_s.py is in the public domain.
However, pywgrib2_s depends on wgrib2 which is a conbination of public domain, GNU-licensed
code and Apache licence v2 (decenc_openjpeg.c) Wgrib2 depends on libraries which have various licences.  
Most libraries are optional, so the exact applicatable licences will vary.
